Top 5 most sold smartphones during the Double 11 shopping festival

China’s Black Friday, the Double 11 shopping festival, ended at 12am on November 12. E-commerce giant Alibaba claims that over the duration of the 24-hour festival Alibaba made RMB 91.2billion (USD 14.3billion), which is almost double the amount witnessed last year when sales reached RMB 57 billion. 5 #QiKU
Qiku the brand associated with the popular Chinese search engine Qihoo, ranked No. 5 in the most sold smartphone stakes. The company has not released final sales figures but claims it sold more than 80,000 phones within the first 10 hours of the sale on Tmall.

4 #Apple
Apple come in at No. 4 for the most sold smartphones over on Tmall. Final sales numbers have not been released, but Chinese media reports that more than 80,000 iPhones were sold on Tmall within nine hours.

3 #Xiaomi
At the end of the festival, Xiaomi reported turnover of RMB 1.25 billion. It is said that Redmi 2 smartphone was the 3rd most sold smartphone on Tmall.

2 #Meizu
Meizu was reported to be the 2nd most sold smartphone brand on Tmall. It was the first brand to break the RMB 100 million barrier, clocking in at only 6 minutes into commencement of sales.

1 #Huawei
By the end of festivities, Huawei reported turnover had reached RMB 1.19 billion. It is reported the Huawei Honor was the most sold smartphone on Tmall.
