Huawei will release a new smartphone 5S with a metal shell on Thursday, its official Weibo account said.
This enhanced version of the Huawei 5 will be in a metal enclosure, designed with two card slots and support 4G. This new phone could very well be the new version of the previous ABC-UL00, in terms of hardware. The 5.2 inch 5S will feature a 1080p display, and 3GB RAM storage, with a 13 megapixel camera on the back and an eight megapixel camera in the front. It will be powered by the Kirin 935 chipset and a customized system based on Android 5.1.1. It’s furnished with a 4000mAh battery and fingerprint identification.
This new product resembles the Hongmi Note 3 and Meizu Metal. Its price is estimated to be around 1000 RMB, TechWeb reports.
Last Thursday, Huawei launched the six-inch Huawei Mate 8 powered with Kirin 950. The base 3GB/32GB model will sell for RMB 2999.
