Didi Chuxing has confirmed to Tencent Tech that its CFO Xu Tao has resigned for personal reasons. Didi didn’t make any other comments on the resignation.
Xu Tao joined Didi Chuxing in Jan 2014. Prior to this, he was the CFO of ICT company Dimensiondata’s China branch. According to insider news, Xu Tao may join another Internet company eDaixi as its CFO.
eDaixi is an O2O company focusing on door-to-door laundry services. The company expanded its business to more O2O sectors such as pet sitting and delivery this year. It started with an angel investment from Tencent and completed a USD 100 million B-series funding led by Baidu in August.
Didi Chuxing completed a USD three billion funding round in September. It’s rumored that Didi Chuxing is planning on going public in the U.S.
