Didi Kuaidi, China’s largest ride-hailing company, announced on Monday that it will launch its online car-selling business on Dec. 12, the “Double 12” shopping festival in China, Beijing Times reported on Tuesday.

Didi said that cars will be sold on its Didi Chuxing app through the “Didi Test Drive” service in several cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu. Partnering with brand businesses and distributors, Didi will start this new business by putting 100 Mercedes and 100 FAW-Toyotas up for sale online.

Having operated a slew of businesses including taxi-hailing, express cars, private cars and carpooling, Didi Chuxing aims to tap into the vehicle market by combining online car sales with test driving.
