Jean Liu, the president of China’s largest ride-hailing company Didi Kuaidi, may return to work by the end of December after a two-month absence for breast cancer treatment according to her Weibo, Beijing Times reported Tuesday.

“Friends at Didi, please expect me at the end of the month,” Liu posted on her Weibo account.
Jean Liu was diagnosed with breast cancer in September and has been receiving treatment and working at home since then. Rumor had it that she might leave her post due to her physical condition. However, her Weibo post last Sunday put this rumor to rest.
Didi Kuaidi has been developing new businesses recently. Besides the “Express Pool” launched on December 1, Didi announced on Monday that its new initiate to sell cars online will be launched on “Double 12”. Liu Qing’s return may help Didi’s new business plans.
Didi also announced on Tuesday that Jerry Yang, the co-founder of Yahoo and founding partner of AME Cloud Ventures, has been named as its Senior Advisor and a Board Observer.
