Infographic: China’s upcoming World Internet Conference at a glance

The World Internet Conference will be held in Wuzhen, China, next week. It’s been announced that China’s President Xi Jinping will attend the conference for the first time and deliver the keynote speech. Xi has made cyber security a key strategy since he took office, according to Xinhua.

More than 100 other significant attendees at the conference including Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Under-Secretary-General of the UN Wu Hongbo, and high-ranking members of tech companies including Yahoo!, Wikipedia, Oracle, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu and Xiaomi.

The conference will also be a presentation of some of the latest technology from around the world. Baidu’s driverless car will hold its first official demonstration at the conference after passing its first road test on Thursday. China Telecom, Volvo, and Nokia will also display their most up-to-date breakthroughs.

Other topics to be discussed at the conference include cyber culture communication, Internet innovation, digital-economic cooperation, Internet technology standards and Internet governance.
