The YunBike C1 manufactured by e-bike maker YunMake was launched two months ago and on Tuesday, a Xiaomi version has begun crowdfunding at 10 o’clock. The crowdfunding is being conducted on the Xiaomi Family platform. The company provides five different colors for the Xiaomi YunBike C1 with the price set at RMB 1999. The aim of crowdfunding today is to reach sales of 200 Xiaomi YunBikes, which means collecting around RMB 400,000. Xiaomi achieved its goal in just two hours following the start of crowdfunding. This round of crowdfunding will proceed for 14 days, and is aimed at raising at least RMB 5.6 million.
The Xiaomi YunBike C1 is equipped with a YunBike independent motor installed in the rear-wheel. It enables the use of electric power and has five gears, which specially caters to the need for climbing and traveling against the wind. This version of the YunBike also features three acceleration sensors and three gyroscopes, which enable the bike to intelligently supply power to help users climb slopes.
The battery adopts Samsung 18650 cells, with a capacity of 5.1AH. It has several parts and can be separately used as a portable power source. the YunBike C1 weighs 16KG with a limit load of 120KG. It runs as fast as 25km/h with fuel mileage of 55km. The motor is 36V, 180W, and the charging time is three hours.
Founded in 2013, YunMake is based in Southern China’s Hangzhou city. The company raised its Series A funding led by Xiaomi CEO Leijun-backed Shunwei Capital. Its angel investors including Alibaba’s cofounders.
