The world’s leading drone producer, Shenzhen-based DJI, launched two new products on Tuesday. The company added a black version of its Inspire 1 Pro product and a 4k version to the Phantom 3 series. According to DJI, these additions cater to the needs of different consumers.

In September 2015, DJI released the Inspire 1 Pro with a white body and a black frame. Feedback from professional photographers indicate that the color black, which is light-absorbing and non-reflective, is better because it doesn’t interfere with photos, according to DJI’s official Wechat account. The new product has a black body and a black lens, along with a black remote controller and on-board battery.

The Phantom 3 4K regroups functions from the Phantom 3 Pro and the Phantom 3 Standard. This new version has a resolution of 4K, higher than the Phantom 3 Standard’s 2.7K resolution. It also added certain functions that the 3 Standard doesn’t have, including indoor hovering and high-definition image transmission.

Compared with the Phantom 3 Pro, which also has a 4K resolution, the Phantom 3 4K differs in several aspects. While the Pro supports both GPS and GLONASS satellite positioning systems, the new Phantom 3 4K is GPS-only. The Phantom 3 4K is also equipped with a remote controller that sends out signals more frequently and uses a 2600mAh battery rather than a 6000mAh one.

The Inspire 1Pro Black version is priced at RMB 29,999 (USD 4600). The first batch will be available in all countries and regions except Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, England and Ireland. The price of the Phantom 3 4K hasn’t been released yet, but consumers will be able to buy both products from DJI dealers.

Tencent, one of the BAT giants, is also entering the drone-making scene. On Tuesday, Shenzhen-based Xirodrone confirmed that a product it developed with Tencent will make its first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 this Thursday.
