California-based electric car company, Faraday Future, unveiled the FF Zero 1 concept car at CES 2016 on Monday.

Faraday Future is backed by the “Netflix” of China, online media giant LeTV. The Chinese media company invested RMB 6.4 billion (USD one billion) in the company’s brand new factory location in the U.S. state of Nevada.

Besides its Faraday Future investment, LeTV is currently developing its own electric Supercar and in September, LeTV released a new smart car UI system, LeUIAuto.

Faraday Future announced on Monday given the impending arrival of autonomous driving, the company has as its primary goal, making life inside the car as cozy as possible.

The concept car fits firmly in the racing car category with claimed credentials boasting 1,000 horsepower, a 0-100 time in three seconds, and a top speed of over 320 kilometers per hour.

Additionally the car is said to have an aerodynamic tunnel in the front, which could help reduce drag and cool the batteries, and the inspiration for the seating designs apparently drawn from NASA’s zero gravity chair.

However, the FF Zero 1 concept car won’t be the company’s first production model. The company is developing its first model in Gardena, California, with a launch date scheduled within two years.

Following the release of its first model, Faraday plans to launch a series of new models in quick succession. Analysts say that Faraday’s new models may be optimally placed to soon compete with that other well funded U.S. electric vehicle maker, Tesla.
