Benchmark scores of an unknown Huawei smartphone were spotted on GeekBench. According to the new listing, the new Huawei smartphone will feature 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. A single-core score of 1913 and a multi-core score of 6870 place the phone’s performance much higher than what is typically achieved with a Kirin 950 processor. Rumor has it the new smartphone will feature the Kirin 955 processor, Tencent Tech reports on Tuesday.

The single-core scores of the Kirin 950 processor are mostly around 1800, and hardly over 1900. So it is inferred that the processor featured is likely the so-called Kirin 955, the upgraded version of the Kirin 950. The unknown Huawei smartphone has been spotted on GeekBench many times, but single-core performance has only exceeded 1900 twice without indicating CPU Clock Speed. The leaked scores on Tuesday were obtained with a CPU Clock Speed of 1.8GHz, so Huawei is either further optimizing its Kirin 950 processor, or testing the Kirin 955 processor.

Tencent Tech reports that the new model may be the Huawei Honor X3. It is unknown when the Honor X3 will be released, but according to a leaked Powerpoint slide from China Mobile, the largest mobile telecommunications company in China, Huawei will launch a new Honor model in April, 2016, priced between RMB 1500(USD 228) to 3000(USD 456). This mysterious smartphone may very well hit the Chinese market in April.
