Didi Chuxing optimizes access to its SDK

China’s ride-hailing market leader Didi Kuaidi (Didi) announced on Thursday that its developer center is now officially online, making access to its SDK faster and providing third-party developers with updates from the API platform.

All developers need to do is follow three steps to access Didi’s SDK through the developer center — registration, verification, and receiving an ID and encryption key.

Since being introduced to the public in mid-January on Didi’s online platform, Didi Chuxing, its SDK has been used by apps including Tencent’s map service, Alibaba’s travel service Alitrip, and travel site eLong.

By accessing the API, third-party apps can connect their services with Didi’s services including taxi hailing, private car-hailing, express car-hailing, and the designated driver service.

To help app developers update their APIs, Didi began holding offline workshops this March and will continue to do so on a regular basis. “Didi will partner with more parties to offer developers multiple resources,” said Didi manager Nan Shan.

In the future, Didi’s API will cover more services.
