Huawei, China’s tech giant launched Cloud Open Labs on Thursday in a bid to help telecommunication operators better serve mobile phone customers.
VoLTE, or Voice over LTE, is the voice service technology that operators use to support their customers who access the Internet via 4G networks. Bruce Xun, Vice President of Huawei’s Global Technical Service, demonstrated how Huawei’s cloud would facilitate VoLTE services.
Cloud Open Labs will open to Huawei’s partner operators, such as Accenture, Red Hat and the China Association of Communication Enterprises. Meanwhile, Huawei says it has connected the four labs together to form a united cloud system.
The lab includes Global Network Evolution & Experience Center, NFV Open Lab, SDN Open Lab, and DC Open Lab.
