Angry birds has been arguably the most successful mobile gaming phenomenon in the world. Angry Birds has been downloaded more than three billion times, according to Forbes. The games have been adapted into a dizzying array of spinoffs and merchandise, including TV series, a movie, toys, drinks, and even a cook book.
Peter Vesterbacka was the former “Mighty Eagle” of Angry Birds, driving much of the franchise’s success. He was also the founder of Slush, a massive annual tech event in Helsinki, and the tech network MobileMonday.
He has recently quit Rovio, the parent company of Angry Birds, to “go back to his startup roots”. The details of his newest plans aren’t public, but he’s mentioned his passion for education.

Currently Peter is learning Chinese and kicking off some amazing new startups that aim to transform education and entertainment globally.
