Chinese tech giant LeEco launched its new smartphone, the Le Pro 3, in Beijing on Wednesday. The company aims that this new smartphone, with its Snapdragon 821 processor, will boost its overall shipments considerably.
“The Le Pro 3 will be the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 821 processor to be put into mass production in the world,” said Feng Xing, president of LeEco’s smartphone business, at the launch party on Wednesday.

Feng said that LeEco has shipped a total of 17 million smartphones up till now. The company has been selling smartphones in foreign countries including India, Thailand and Russia.
The 5.5-inch Le Pro 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and Adreno 531 GPU. It has 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It has a 16 megapixel back-facing camera and an eight megapixel front-facing one. The 3.5 mm headphone jack was also removed from the 7.5 mm-thin smartphone.
The Le Pro 3 has a 4070 mAh battery. The company claimed that five minutes’ charging can guarantee a three hours phone call on the Le Pro 3.

The Le Pro 3 comes in four colors. It is priced at RMB 1,999 (USD 299). The company also offers a 4GB plus 32GB version for RMB 1,799.
The Le Pro 3 can now be preordered on the company’s official online store LeMall.com, and China’s major e-commerce platforms JD.com and Tmall, as well as the company’s stores. It will go on sale next Wednesday.
