AllChinaTech.com is a Beijing- based tech media startup that aims to provide compelling English-language stories focused on the Chinese high-tech industry via our online and social media platforms. Founded by two entrepreneurs with more than 10 years’ experience in top international media organizations (The Wall Street Journal, South China Morning Post) and large tech firms (NetEase, Google China), our mission is to provide foreign audiences interested in learning about or investing in the Chinese IT industry with the most insightful, exclusive and actionable information, and to build an open platform for investors, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to exchange ideas about innovative technology, industry trends and startup scenes.
We are looking to hire hard-working, passionate young writers and editors, both Chinese and international, who are interested in technology and willing to take on the challenge of exploring and analyzing China’s booming high-tech scene, as well as connecting broad foreign audiences with the Chinese IT industry. Solid writing skills in English and the ability to work under deadline pressure and occasional long hours are required. Knowledge of the IT industry is preferred, but given how quickly the industry evolves in China, curiosity and willingness to learn are at least as important as prior experience, so we will consider strong candidates without direct prior experience in the China tech scene.
This is a tremendous opportunity for young writers and editors to grow their skills and expand their profile, or for more experienced writers/editors to carve out a niche that they can truly own. All we ask is that employees give their very best shots at impactful technology reporting and supporting our effort to build a technology-informed newsroom.
In return, we can offer a (China) start-up salary, we offer a nurturing, decent working environment, and abundant opportunities for on-the-job training and professional development. We pledge warm mentorship that draws on decades- worth of first-hand reporting experience, newsroom leadership, and marketing and management leadership. [Options may be available for the right candidate.]
