Founded in 2013 in Shenzhen, Makeblock wants to use technology to help customers create robots more easily. With a valuation of more than RMB 1 billion, Makeblock raised 29 million in a Series B financing round led by Evolution Media China and Shenzhen Capital Group. Makeblock will use this fund to create new STEAM educational courses and expand its sales all over the world.

Since Sexy Salad was founded in 2015 in Shenzhen, customers can not only buy salads online via Wechat and Meituan, but also can purchase and eat a Sexy Salad at an offline store. Sexy Salad believe that Chinese people will want a healthier diet as its economy grows, so eating salad as a staple food would be a prime choice for young people and the middle class in China. Sexy Salad raised its angel round financing from IDG in 2015; this Series B financing was led by Hony Capital. Sexy Salad is expanding their business to more Chinese cities to try to establish their brand.
