China’s Cybersecurity Law: An expression of China’s cyber-sovereignity ambitions (English)

The new Cybersecurity Law will be in place in 2017, and this might have a significant influence on foreign businesses. Existing requirements for localizing data storage on servers located within the Chinese territory will be further strengthened while network operators will also be required to provide ‘technical support’ for national security and law enforcement.
