Fintech company Fumi Technology receives USD 14.5 M in Series A round

Fumi Technology is a fintech company that focuses on providing financial services for personal investors all over the world with financial trading information and assistance.

Based in Hunan, its founding team members previously worked in Alibaba, Xiaomi, Huawei and Bloomberg. It has now more than 4 million users across the world. The company also introduces AI and big data technology into its products by providing customized investment suggestions.

Wei Niu is one of its flagship products that provides financial support globally, and its financial services cover over 20 countries and regions with 5 categories, 37 currency exchanges and more than 100,000 investment options.

This Series A financing round was led by Hongdao Fund and Mobai Capital. Shunwei Capital participated as an investor, and it also invested in Fumi Technology’s last financing round. The funding will be used to enhance user experience for global users and to start an overseas promotion plan to attract more users.

Genomic data company WuXi NextCODE receives USD 75 M for Series B

WuXi NextCODE is a genomic data company backed by Wuxi AppTec that aims to improve health for people around the world based on the technology of digging sequence data, as well as meeting its corporate partners’ demands for genome-driven diagnostics and wellness enterprises.

WuXi NextCODE established an open access genomic information platform based on its comprehensive capabilities for digitizing, managing and analyzing genomic data. The platform enables any organization or individual to get access to genomic big data easily and benefit from this.

This Series B financing round was led by Temasek and Yunfeng Capital, and WuXi NextCODE plans to use the fund to expand its capabilities in genomic information based on artificial intelligence and deep learning, and enable more customers to benefit from its products in the global market through marketing plans.
