Financing status: USD 1 million seed round in 2017
Gym and fitness aggregator app FITPASS raised USD 1 million in its seed round led by Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra and his business partner Gaurav Marya, Chairman of Franchise India.
FITPASS was founded in 2015 by Akshay Verma and his sister Arushi Verma. FITPASS provides its users access passes to gyms and fitness studios.
FITPASS is an app based pass for subscribers to work out across more than 1,500 gyms and fitness studios in Delhi NCR. It is a one-touch solution available on both iOS and Android. FITPASS gives its users the flexibility to work out anytime and anywhere at a price of INR 999 (USD 15.44) per month. With FITPASS, users are able to choose from a variety of workout options — gym workouts, yoga, Zumba, Pilates, spinning, kickboxing, CrossFit, and MMA. In addition, the users can have specially curated workout guides and diet plans from personal nutritionists. The startup claimed last December that it has acquired 50,000 users in two years.
The startup will use the newly raised fund to expand the full suite of its services across 10 cities in the next six months.
