Online fitness marketplace Gympik raises undisclosed funds

Bengaluru-based online fitness aggregator, Gympik, has closed a second portion of funding from exisiting investor RoundGlass Partners. Amaresh Ojha, Founder and CEO of Gympik, said that the startup has raised USD 1 million so far from RoundGlass.
Gympik was founded in 2012 by Amaresh Ojha and Karan Malik. Ojha previouly worked at BlueStone as Technical Lead, Mailk was at Firstsource Solutions.
Gympik is an online fitness center and gym discovery platform. It claims to have about 9,000 fitness centers and more than 5,000 fitness professionals from 19 cities across India. The startup also offers cloud-based software and an app for fitness centers to personalize their offerings. Customers can use the app to hire personal instructors for home training sessions, and fitness instructors can track their client’s performance on the app. The startup claims that it helps conduct over 500 home personal training sessions in Bengaluru every day. The startup generates revenue mainly from the leads it provides to fitness centers and trainers.
The startup will use the newly raised investment to expand into more cities and develop its technology team.
