Online beauty services startup BigStylist has raised USD 1.2 million in a fresh funding round led by Info Edge.

BigStylist was founded in 2015 by IIT Kharagpur graduates Richa Singh, Chinmaya Sharma, and Anurag Srivastava.

BigStylist is an app and web-based beauty and styling services platform. It provides users access to a network of beauty professionals in their neighborhood and enables users to place orders for home appointments from experts and stylists from a range of reviewed and rated providers. The startup specializes in providing beauty, wellness and grooming services like haircut, hairstyling, facial care, manicures, spa, body massage, etc. All of these beauty services are provided by professionals who are trained in-house. BigStylist, which currently operates in Pune and Mumbai, promises fast delivery service in less than one hour.

The startup will use the newly raised investment to accelerate net profitability.

Other players in this area include UrbanClap, HouseJoy, Fabogo, etc.
