Wiseapp, an app analyzing company, reported that, as of August 2, Kakao Bank’s app had been downloaded by 2.66 million people. And, 770,000 daily active users made it the third largest number of daily users across all of the Korean banking apps.
Usage patterns in the past week also showed integrative use of Kakao Bank across Kakao’s ecosystem. Kakao Bank users mainly used Kakao Talk, whereas, users of other banking apps had to use other authentication certificates and notification apps.
The survey, conducted by Wiseapp, analyzed a sample of 22,500 national Android smartphone users and the app store.
