Big data service operator, HYDATA, received USD 15 M for Series B on August 15 to invest in market expansion plans.

The development plan for the new generation of artificial intelligence, recently issued by the State Council, is set to inaugurate policies favorable to the development of artificial intelligence in China. Big data visual analysis is a key technology in human-computer hybrid intelligence, and accounts for a large part of the field of visual analysis in Asia. Not only big data, but also related technologies such as speech recognition and human-computer interaction are trending businesses. Today, we are looking at a company that operates big data services secured financing, and which first introduced lip language recognition technology in the big data industry.

HYDATA is a big data service operator that focuses on providing big data operations services and analysis services for large enterprises. It wants to make big data operations more efficient and flexible for its partners through the development of advanced big data technology.

Currently, its big data operations products provide its enterprise partners with a new method of data management and a business model which enables them to make sound decisions precisely. Additionally, it also helps its partners record multi-dimensional data to support the development of their business. Its partners are mainly from public security, smart city, aviation, finance, FMCG, manufacturing, and other industries.

Founded in 2013 in Beijing, its big data service has covered more than 20 industries. It first introduced lip language recognition technology previously this year, and by now its recognition accuracy is 70%.

This new financing round was led by IDG Capital and Shengjing, with Oriental Fortune Capital participating as investors. The capital will be used to invest in market expansion plans to acquire more enterprise partners as well as introduce artificial intelligence technology to boost its big data services.

Mobile medical service platform, Haici, received USD 15 M for Series B on August 15 to expand its business to more hospitals.

Haici is a mobile medical service platform that enables users to complete hospital registers on smartphones with the WeChat and Alipay apps, as well as make appointments with doctors through its platform. If users are wondering about their symptoms, Haici’s platform equips them with an AI consultant to help them find the right doctors. It also integrates online payment with medical services, so that users can complete payments online directly after they finish an inquiry.

Founded in 2014 in Guangzhou, its services have covered more than 300 hospitals in China, and over 10 million users. The accumulated transaction flow through its online payment exceeds RMB 2 billion.

Haici grabbed this Series B financing round led by SIG, with some of its existing investors participating. It plans to use the funds to combine its medical services with medical insurance, so that patients can enjoy the convenience of online medical services and medical insurance support simultaneously. Moreover, Haici is also seeking cooperations with drugstores to expand its medical scenes applications, so that it can lead users to the nearest drugstores and hospitals for medical services easily.
