Deep Validation (CEO: Min Soo Kim), a custom engine development service based on machine learning, raised USD 380,000 from K Cube Ventures, GS Home Shopping and D.Camp.
Deep Validation is a tech startup founded by 5 co-founders from UC Berkeley and Yale. They are currently residing in D.Camp, one of the major co-working spaces in Seoul, Korea, conducting various data-related projects that mainly focus on deep learning technology and various statistical models.
This year, they are planning to officially launch a platform that provides fashion curation and styling based on data science. This platform not only simplifies the vast amount of fashion product information that is available online, but also enables curation that can be customized to fit individual preferences.
Through this investment round, Deep Validation will expand partnerships with various companies and also commercialize projects. Also, they plan to develop and study recommendation algorithms by continuously recruiting data scientists and machine-learning engineers.
Min Soo Kim, CEO of Deep Validation, said that “accurate and advanced machine learning technology will maximize the user experience of busy customers living in this modern society. We plan to lead the adoption of technologies that are still rarely used in Korea but can be applied to the real-life market, such as fashion commerce”.
Ki-Jun Kim, managing director of K Cube Ventures, who led this investment round, said, “We hope that the data science technology that Deep Validation has will lead to the specialization and popularization of the business areas that they will be entering in the future”.
