Aurum Planet raises funding to collect human-generated content data

Aurum Planet raised USD 600,000 from K Bridge Investment and Spring Camp. Aurum Planet will secure up to USD 1.1 million for this investment round when they receive the grant money from the TIPS program (government support program for tech startups). Aurum Planet is the service provider of LINER, the ‘highlighter’ service for the web.

LINER allows users to highlight and keep track of various documents on the Internet as if with a physical highlighter. 90% of its users are from countries outside of South Korea and their usage has doubled every month for the past 10 consecutive months. It is also featured on Apple’s App Store in more than 30 countries, and is being regularly featured on the global Chrome Web Store by Google.

Dong-Cheol Lee, CEO of K Bridge Investment, said, “The biggest asset of LINER lies in its ability to filter Internet data with human hands, which has been accumulating intensively since the beginning of the service. We’ve already noticed that more than two million web pages and highlighting data have been stored by users daily, and that they are maintaining a remarkable growth rate.”

Kyun-Woo Son, Investment Associate at Spring Camp, mentioned, “It is undeniable that an important resource for the Fourth Industrial Revolution is data. Aurum Planet focuses on the unique data of human-generated content, and they have found a way to secure a global and sustainable mass of this data. We look forward to the future of th is team”.
