Anymedi Solution, a company specializing in medical devices that use 3D printing technology, recently raised USD 1.3 million from Company K – Challenge Fund , run by Company K Partners. Anymedi Solution was founded in December 2016 and it has been continuously researching and developing various medical devices such as patient simulators, guides, and implants.
Since the establishment of the company, they have been developing customized medical devices based on the technology and know-how of 3D printing medical applications, transferred from Ulsan University and domestic clinical medical faculty.
Kang-Soo Lee, the Vice President of Company K Partners who led this investment deal, highly valued the expertise of Anymedi Solution, as well as the growth potential of the 3D convergence medical market and continued clinical collaboration with the best medical staff in Korea, such as the Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
The founders of Anymedi Solution are composed of professors and researchers of Asan Medical Center and, unlike other companies, their partnership with Asan Medical Center doing clinical research and development offers a competitive edge.
Surgical guides and simulators have already been commercialized and are generating sales. They are researching and developing an implant with the world’s first concept, which can be inserted into the human body. In addition, the customized Anymedi solution manufacturing technology is cloud-based, so it can collaborate with various hospitals and medical staff in both domestic and global markets. They are currently applying productivity enhancements through software based on deep learning technology, which is expected to increase innovation in the medical device manufacturing industry.
