Fighting robot developer, Ganker, received undisclosed Series A in millions of USD led by TencentCrop on November 6 for marketing.

Ganker is a fighting robot developer that designs fighting robots for maker education and entertainment. With new technology to carry out various activities like battling, soccer playing, racing, and obstacle avoidance. Its robots can be used in a variety of robot entertainment scenarios such as family, party, club, and so on, which allows the player to learn robot related structure assembly, 3D printing and action programming while having fun.

Additionally, its new version of robotic products equipped with deep learning support and infrared cameras, which supports facial recognition as well as object recognition and environment recognition. All of its robots can be connected with smartphones, and users can control the robots via smartphones, as well as record videos.

Founded in 2015 in Shenzhen, Ganker is enriching its businesses by equipping its fighting robots with new stories, as well as organizing events for robot fighting games in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and so on, which can attract thousands of players.

This new financing round was led by Tencent. Previously, the company raised financing funding from Unity Ventures, Volcanics Venture, and Hofan. The capital will be used to accelerate the process of branding and marketing, as well as create more IP for its products.
