Financing status: Undisclosed amount for undisclosed round in 2017
Bangalore-based B2B online travel management startup Itilite has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from investment firm Matrix Partners. Several angel investors also participated in the round.
Itilite was founded in 2017 by Mayank Kukreja and Anish Khadiya, alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Both previously worked at McKinsay & Company and Myntra, an Indian leading e-commerce platform. They were both a director of strategy and planning at Myntra and an engagement manager at McKinsay.
Itilite is an online B2B integrated travel, expense, and rewards management platform. Its system tracks travel history and travel preferences of corporate users then suggests options for users to choose from. It claims that the system’s filtering process enables business travelers to make travel bookings within just 60 seconds. Itilite also helps companies to save on travel costs by providing employees with personal rewards from the money that the employee saves for the company. When a company uses Itilite, its employees also benefit from specially discounted flights and hotels for their personal travel. Itilite also allows users to pay only the price difference to upgrade flight classes if a higher class is beyond a company’s budget policy.
The startup will use the newly raised investment to strengthen its technology and expand its team.
Other players in the travel tech area in India include Goomo, Wandertrails, and others.
