Mumbai-based The Label Life has raised USD 3.1 M in funding led by Kalpavriksh, Centrum’s private equity fund. The company’s investors include Mithun Sacheti, Co-founder of CaratLane, and Haresh Chawla. The newly raised investment will go towards growth, increased inventory, improved efficiency in supply chain management, as well as additional collaborations and partnerships.

The Label Life is an ecommerce lifestyle brand featuring contemporary fashion, accessories, and home decoration aimed at the modern urban Indian woman. The platform sells home decoration and fashion products styled by Bollywood actresses Sussanne Khan, Malaika Arora, and Bipasha Basu. Each month, the platform releases “capsule collections”, which include various products and accessories that can be combined into 40 different looks with the help of an included style guide. The Label Life’s primary target demographic are women between the ages of 23 and 45 years, particularly those residing in India’s top ten cities. The platform has reportedly served in excess of 70,000 customers thus far.

The Label Life was founded in 2015 by Yashika Punjabee and Preeta Sukhtankar. Punjabee, a graduate of Miami Ad School, is the founder of Groovy Two Shoes, a creative event and styling studio. Sukhtankar is a graduate of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and worked previously as a partner at Celebrity Marketing Agency and as a publisher at Seventeen Magazine, India.
