California and Pune-based sales readiness and enablement platform MindTickel has raised USD 27 million in a Series-B funding round led by California venture capital investor Canaan Partners. The round also saw participation from existing investors Accel Partners, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Qualcomm Ventures. Joydeep Bhattacharyya, a partner at Canaan Partners, will join MindTickle’s board of directors as part of the funding deal. Reportedly, the newly acquired capital will be allocated toward product innovation and global expansion. With this recent round of funding, MindTickle’s overall external funding has now soared to USD 41.3 million.
MindTickle is a next-generation sales enablement software-as service (SaS) platform that helps companies prepare and evaluate their sales reps, support teams, and partners in a scalable and effective way. It assists enterprise sales teams in areas such as onboarding, micro-learning, skills development, and coaching. Additionally, sales and enablement leaders can gauge the impact their programs have on sales performance. MindTickle was recognized in 2012 and 2013 with the ‘Best Use of Engagement Techniques in Enterprise’ award at GSummit and the Cool Vendor.
MindTickle was founded in 2012 by Krishna Depura, Mohit Garg, Deepak Diwakar, and Nishant Mungali. Depura is an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad graduate; previously, he was director of Public Management at PubMatic and a project manager at Microsoft. Garg, a graduate of Indian School of Business (ISB) and Stanford University, worked as a director at PwC. Diwakar and Mungali are both IIT alumni and worked previously at Pubmatic as a software engineer and UX Designer, respectively.
