Hellobike launches the smart transportation OS Hello Brain 2.0

Hellobike, China’s leading mobility services provider, launched Hello Brain 2.0, a smart transportation operating system that will improve vehicle efficiency and distribution, at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC).

“It is a great honor to be invited to the WAIC as the only two-wheeler company. Hellobike will continue to devote itself to the development of AI, which is the fundamental driving force of the company’s development and will lead us into a new era. By making use of Hellobike’s big data capabilities, the Hello Brain system will continue evolving to provide integrated solutions for transportation problems,” said Yang Lei, Hellobike CEO.

Hello Brain is a comprehensive smart system developed by Hellobike’s R&D team. The first version was used with shared-bikes, but the second version, which will become the decision hub of the company’s technology ecosystem, will appear on Hellobike’s new e-bikes, e-motorbikes, and battery swapping services. Integrating robust anonymized riding data, Hello Brain 2.0 facilitates real-time data leveraging, cloud computing, and AI-based technologies to provide users with more efficient and better mobility experiences. For example, the system helps redistribute over 1000 shared-bikes to meet the demands of daily commuters in a residential neighborhood in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

Hellobike also presented its bluetooth road studs, innovative technology that helps with bike parking, at the WAIC. The road studs, the first to be used in the bike sharing industry, can tell whether a user has correctly ended their trip or if the lock will fail to work. Hellobike has been piloting the technology in more than 10 cities and reports a success rate of more than 95%. The company has applied for over 20 patents related to the road studs and other two-wheeler parking management technologies.

The WAIC is the highest-level AI conference in China. It attracts influential AI scientists and entrepreneurs from around the world, as well as government leaders, to discuss cutting edge technologies, industry trends, and related policy questions.
