Bangalore and San Francisco-based tech talent platform Indiez has raised USD 500,000 for seed round funding from individual investor Haresh Chawla.
Indiez was founded in 2016 by Nitesh Agrawal, Ishan Shrivastava, Archit Kejriwal and Amrose Birani.
Indiez is a tech talent platform that offers solutions for designing and developing websites, apps and custom software and technology through an invite-only community of tech professionals. The startup connects companies looking for software professionals with freelancers looking for projects. The startup works with developers, designers and product managers with experiences at Google, Facebook, Uber and others. The startup’s product managers take care of end-to-end project management and the fulfilment team monitors the progress of each project. Their AI-powered technology helps match projects with suitable members from their community.
Inc42, an Indian media platform, reported the following claims made by the startup. The startup, with over 330 freelancers including 230 software developers, 60 designers, and 40 product managers from over 32 countries, has served more than 160 clients and has, so far, generated a revenue of USD 1 million.
The startup will use the newly-raised investment to strengthen its technology and expand into the U.S. market.
Competitors in India’s freelancer-platform space include Truelancer, Taskr and more. Other players in the U.S. include Upwork, vWorker, etc.
