Data and research firm Analysys International released a report on Tuesday indicating Didi Kuaidi leads China’s private car-hailing market with 83.2% market share for quarter three, with rival Uber tailing behind at 16.2% and UCAR with 13.4%.
The report says as of October 2015, Didi’s private-car service is available in 199 cities across China, with competitors Yidao Yongche in 98 cities and CAR Inc. in 66 cities.
Didi competitors UCAR and eDaijia joined forces as strategic partners back in October in order to compete with Didi. The two companies will share their user database and open their application programming interfaces (API) to each other.
