Pet sitter service Dogmate raises funds to improve and expand operations

Dogmate, a service that connects pet owners and pet sitters, has raised USD 0.5 million from GS Homeshopping, Strong Ventures, and Primer to improve and expand its services. The startup’s accumulated amount of investment is now USD 0.7 million, as D.Camp previously invested in it.

Dogmate was established in 2015. The service allows pets to stay at pet sitters’ homes, and it also makes it easy to coordinate visits from pet sitters to look after pets staying at their own houses.

After pet sitters and pet owners are connected via Dogmate, the pet sitters can share photos or videos with the pet owners in real time. Pet owners can check how their pets are doing anytime they want. Pets are guaranteed to get proper handling and treatment, even when unexpected accidents happen. Dogmate offers its own support system and takes care of hospital bills or expenses when any mishaps take place.

More and more people have started raising pets in recent years, and many expect pet-relevant industries to grow rapidly in the near future.
