“Jerry Yang has over 20 years of experience in the global and Asian tech industry,” Cheng of Didi said. “His global vision, his judgement of technology trends and his overall management skills and expertise will be a tremendous help to Didi.”

Jerry Yang co-founded Yahoo in 1995. He was the CEO of Yahoo from 2007-2009. He is also a board member of Alibaba, Lenovo Group and Workday.Inc. From 2000-2012, he was a director at Cisco.

Didi Kuaidi is China’s largest ride-hailing company and provides a slew of services: taxi-hailing, express cars and carpooling. Last week, Didi announced it will launch its online car-selling business.
